Choroid Plexus in Diseases

Our research focuses on the choroid plexus, an essential brain structure responsible for producing cerebrospinal fluid and forming the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier in brain ventricles. Dysfunction of the choroid plexus has been linked to various neurological disorders, including neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration. Despite its clinical importance, the choroid plexus remains understudied, prompting us to expand our knowledge of its pathophysiological mechanisms, particularly in Alzheimer's disease and chemotherapy-induced neuropathy, two devastating conditions with no known cure. We seek to uncover novel insights into these conditions and contribute to the advancement of the field.
